Unpaid Wages (Overtime, Commissions & Tips)

Regardless of whether an employee receives their wages through a salary, hourly rate, draw, production/piece rate, or commissions the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires, in certain cases, that covered employers pay overtime wages every hour worked over forty (40) hours per work week.

We will work with you to determine if your employer owes you money for unpaid wages and fight to get you the compensation you deserve.

Contract / Working Agreement Violations

If you have a written contract and your employer violates one of the terms, you may have a claim for breach of contract. Sometimes in the absence of an agreement, an employee manual can take the form of an agreement.

We will review your employment agreement and let you know if you have a claim against your employer for breach of contract.

Wrongful Termination / Discrimination

In most circumstances, an employer can lawfully terminate an employee at any time for any reason. However, it is illegal for an employer to demote or terminate an employee based on certain characteristics. This may be an act of discrimination.

Discrimination and wrongful termination may come in many forms, it may be based on:

  • Race

  • Color

  • National Origin

  • Gender

  • Denial of Leave

  • Age

  • Pregnancy

  • Failure To Hire

  • Religion

  • Unequal Pay

  • Disability

  • FMLA Violations

Workplace / Sexual Harassment

There are number of reasons harassment in the workplace takes place, making for a hostile work environment. It can be based on race, age, religion, disability, or marital status. Some employees even experience sexual harassment.

If you feel that you have been the victim of workplace sexual harassment, we will examine the details of your situation and let you know where you stand legally.
